Digital Samba 629 - Rename Participants

Dashboard and API

New Features

  • Added a new "Rename participants" permission, supported via the dashboard and API.

  • Added a new permission to allow questions to be asked anonymously.
  • Added the ability to control SIP connections (start and stop) via the API.
  • Summaries are now processed faster and become available sooner for participants, with full support through the API.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where total participation minutes did not match the sum of individual session statistics.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Select data set” dropdown was not working in session exports.

In-Room

New Features

  • Added the ability to rename participants during a session. Names can be updated from the participants panel via the three-dot menu and are applied consistently across the app. Supported in end-to-end encrypted rooms as well.
  • Added an in-room feature allowing participants to ask anonymously.

  • Added consistent participant abbreviations across the app, with public chat and the participants list now following the same naming rule.
  • Added percentage scores to quiz results.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where camera and microphone status could appear incorrect for late joiners.
