Explore what’s new in Digital Samba 626. This release introduces draw over content, bringing laser pointer, sticky notes, freehand drawing, and more directly onto shared documents for a truly interactive experience. We’ve also added support for launching timed quizzes and downloading results, along with fully role-based Q&A permissions for tighter control. 

Digital Samba Embedded, Dashboard and API

New Features

• Added new permission named “Access Q&A”, which controls overall availability of Q&A features and automatically disables all subordinate Q&A permissions when turned off.
• Added new permission named “Ask questions in Q&A”, enabling question submission in the Q&A section.
• Added option for moderators to download quiz results, supported through the dashboard and via API.

Fixed

• Fixed an issue where hidden questions were incorrectly included in Q&A exports for attendees.

In-Room

New Features

• Introducing the new draw over content feature, allowing participants to annotate directly on shared documents, images and PDFs using tools like laser pointer, sticky notes, pen and much more.
• Added support for creating and launching timed quizzes during a session. Participants answer within a countdown, with single or multiple correct answers. Answers are auto-submitted when time expires. Results can be downloaded or the quiz relaunched.
  
  
   
• Added support for clearing quizzes as part of the “Clear content” action.
• Added granular role-based Q&A permissions, supporting full access, read-only, and no access.

Fixed

• Fixed an issue where mobile participants were unable to swipe between pages in multi-page documents.
• Fixed an issue where the menu could not be opened on mobile browsers when any content was displayed.
