Digital Samba Embedded, Dashboard and API

New Features

  • Added the "Ban participants" permission to the role configuration settings, allowing moderators to define which roles have the ability to ban participants from rooms either temporarily or permanently. Please check our documentation for more information.
  • Added support for the “Manage personal content library” permission to apply within breakout rooms. When granted with an external ID, this permission now allows access to open, organise, and rename personal media and whiteboards directly within breakout rooms, without requiring assistance.

In-Room

New Features

  • The new zoom feature is now available. It is now possible to zoom in on the presenter’s screenshare and drag to view details up close. The view can easily be zoomed out or reset at any time, making screensharing more flexible and easier to follow.
  • Added an exciting new feature that enables banning directly from the participants panel, with flexible options to ban permanently (default) or temporarily for 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Participants banned for a limited time will be able to rejoin once the selected duration has passed, ensuring precise control over session flow.

Digital Samba 615 - Ban Participants

  • Added a new SDK method that allows sending custom messages to custom
tiles, enabling greater flexibility and customised interactions within sessions. Please check our documentation
  • Added the ability for participants with the "Present content" permission to close shared content during sessions, improving control and flexibility for presenters.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where opening shared notes in a breakout room displayed notes from the main room instead of the current breakout room, ensuring participants now see and edit the correct notes context.
  • Fixed missing translations for the UI elements “Pin”, “Unpin”, and “Expand” in multiple languages supported within Digital Samba to ensure consistent interface localisation.
