We’re not big tech—far from it. We’re a small, dedicated team of video conferencing nerds, and we’ve been around since 2003. We’ve focused exclusively on video conferencing since before Skype was a thing. It’s what we do, and it’s all we do.

Fair question—and it has a few answers. First, we've been flying under the radar for years. Our core product has always been fully white-label, meaning our tech powers other brands' video platforms. Second, we’re engineers, not marketers. And third, we’re bootstrapped—no investors, no flashy ad campaigns. We've grown slowly and sustainably, which comes with advantages... and, yeah, a few visibility drawbacks.

Because we’re frustrated too. Big tech keeps pushing the boundaries on surveillance and eroding user privacy. We wanted to create something that respects people—and their data. So we built a free version that’s actually private, actually useful, and actually free. It’s our way of pushing back and giving people an alternative.

Yes, it’s really free—and no, there’s no catch. We’re not selling your data, injecting ads, or doing anything shady behind the scenes. The goal is simple: raise awareness of Digital Samba by offering something genuinely valuable for free. We keep the list short—and genuinely European. A lot of companies claim to use “European infrastructure,” but many of those providers are actually owned by foreign tech giants. We’re picky about who we work with, and we only use a small number of EU-owned sub-processors.
