Digital Samba 633 - Lock Content, Quiz Templates, Watermark

Explore what’s new in Digital Samba 633! This release introduces lock content to keep everyone focused on the same presented material, an enhanced quiz feature with CSV template import and detailed result exports, and a new screen watermark option to discourage unauthorised sharing. We’ve also added chat persistence, platform versioning, new language support for Norwegian and Catalan, and expanded Digital Samba Free with Spanish and German translations.

Dashboard and API

New Features

  • Added a new permission called Lock content, allowing presented content to be locked to prevent local switching.
  • Added support to export quiz results from the Dashboard and via API as a ZIP file containing per-participant CSV and PDF reports, available for download after the session.
  • Added CSV template download and CSV import for bulk quiz creation, allowing moderators to prepare quizzes with support for per-quiz and per-question timing modes.
  • Added an optional setting to persist and reload public chat messages across room sessions.
  • Added a new room setting, Screen watermark, which displays a repeated text watermark across the screen when enabled to discourage unauthorised recording or sharing.
  • Added platform versioning to improve release tracking and transparency.
  • Added API to support creating Q&A questions on behalf of live or external participants.

In-Room

New Features

  • Added a new lock content feature that locks participants to the currently presented tab or content, preventing local switching and keeping everyone synced until the lock is released.
  • Added CSV template import for bulk quiz creation, per-question timing with automatic progression, and detailed quiz result exports as a ZIP file with per-participant CSV and PDF reports. 
     

  • Added an optional watermark overlay feature across all in-room content, including video, screen share, whiteboards and the full UI.


     
  • Added Norwegian as a new translation language.
  • Added Catalan as a new translation language.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where an Oops error page could appear if a user quickly clicked the microphone icon on their video tile immediately after joining a room.

Digital Samba Free

  • Added Spanish and German translations to Digital Samba Free.
  • Fixed an issue where ‘Reset to factory settings’ did not work correctly for templates.
  • Fixed an issue where moderator invite links did not assign the moderator role when joining as a guest.
