Digital Samba 630 - Restreaming, PiP Screenshare, Nederlands Language

Explore what’s new in Digital Samba 630! This release introduces a powerful restreaming feature, automatic Picture-in-Picture opening on screen sharing, and expanded language and transcription support for Nederlands. 
Pre-create quizzes for specific rooms via the dashboard and API, alongside other API enhancements and in-room fixes.

New Features

  • Added a new restreaming tab under room settings. For more details, please check our documentation.
  • Added a new restreaming permission, allowing moderators to start and stop restreaming to all supported external platforms.
  • Added the ability to pre-create quizzes for specific rooms via the dashboard and API.

     
  • Added Nederlands language support for the dashboard, specifically within room settings.
  • Added API support for retrieving sessions from deleted rooms.

In-Room

New Features

  • Added a new restreaming feature, allowing live sessions to be streamed directly to external platforms. Restreaming can be configured from within the room and supports YouTube, Vimeo, Cloudflare, and custom destinations using a secure stream key.
  • Added automatic Picture-in-Picture opening on screen sharing. Embedded rooms focus on the active speaker, while standard rooms keep the multi-video view.



  • Added in-room Nederlands language support, including translations and transcription.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where the “User launched a quiz” advanced notification stayed on screen after the quiz ended.
  • Fixed an issue where the captions panel disappeared when opening content.
  • Fixed an issue where the camera indicator light stayed on after stopping video broadcast in Safari.
  • Fixed an issue where deleting a question in Q&A caused errors for other attendees when the question was no longer available.
  • Fixed an issue where the whiteboard could get stuck loading after returning from a breakout room.

  • Added recording processing state visibility.
  • Added Nederlands language support, supporting translations and transcription.
