Discover what’s new in Digital Samba 619. This release introduces powerful tools for managing content and sessions more effectively, including the option to create private whiteboards alongside the existing public ones for better preparation, a simplified session exit flow with the new Big Red Button, and a new file sharing option in the content library. It also includes a small bug fix to improve the overall experience.

In-Room

New Features

  • Whiteboards can now be opened in private mode in addition to the existing public option. Private whiteboards are clearly marked, allowing visual content to be prepared behind the scenes and during the meeting without exposing it to participants. This is especially useful for client presentations, webinars, and live Q&A sessions, ensuring the right boards are shared at the right time. When needed, a whiteboard can be switched from private to public, or vice versa, at any time.

  • Added new Big Red Button for a clear and simple leave and end session experience, a small but impactful change that makes exiting sessions more intuitive.

  • Participants with the "Manage room content library" permission can now "Share" and "Stop sharing" files, making them appear in a new "Shared" folder section. Shared files display the name of the person who shared them and are accessible in both the main room and breakout rooms. Participants without this permission can only view and download shared files.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where the "Push content" button was shown for a single content item in mobile browsers.
